Hi I'm Ted

I love being outdoors, music, and lovin' life. I am a missionary for the Church and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho before moving to Utah to attend Brigham Young University to study International Relations and Arabic. I love the outdoors, running, camping, backpacking, yoga, politics, sunshine, summer, movies, and indie music. I am an ardent liberal. I'm passionate about international relations and human rights. I love to learn and read about just about everything. Perhaps more than anything I value the associations I have with friends and family. I have been very blessed in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Gospel of Christ helps me live a happy life. There have been times I have questioned the veracity of God and religion; however, after wandering aimlessly through my teen years I have come to the conclusion that true religion doesn't just teach us who we are--it influences our desire to become something better. The restored gospel is one of radical transformation; no matter where we are in life, it will help us all to a higher, happier state. Christ taught that the truth is liberating, it should permeate our existence and inform all that we are. We believe in a God who speaks and weeps, a God whose joy is inextricably linked with our personal salvation. We understand that Grace is a gift given to induce a mighty change of heart, expand our faith, and make us more like our Savior. I have seen God work through his true church to change me and others. I know that our unique message to the world is the only message sufficient to fully satisfy and sanctify the soul.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a missionary for the Church in the Colorado, Colorado Springs mission, and I LOVE MY MISSION. I love being able to help others and have found that teaching and testifying of the Savior is the greatest responsibility in the world. I find great strength from sincere study of the gospel--I love reading the scriptures and learning about all of the wonderful restored truths that our Father has blessed us with in these days. I live my faith by doing all I can to help others, I have found that in times of discouragment reaching out to others as our Savior did is a sure means of finding happiness in this life.
