Hi I'm Bryan

I'm from sunny, small-town Arizona. I don't like seafood. I'm trying to figure out life, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi. I'm Bryan. I'm from the small, farming community of Thatcher, Arizona. I have lived there my entire life, including the first couple semesters of my college career at Eastern Arizona College. I took 2 years of my education off to serve an LDS mission in the great Texas Houston South Mission! I seriously loved it! I can speak spanish, and love using it anytime I can get. Right now, though, I'm studying [insert major here] at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. It's pretty fun, but I miss the desert. I love to hang out with my friends as well as binge-watch TV shows. I love to play tennis, and volleyball too! You could just call me a "regular guy" just trying to figure out what I'm going to do with my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has really meant a lot to me! I grew up a member of the Church, so I was always taught principles of the gospel. I've seen a lot of the blessings that membership in the Church has brought me. When I was going through high school, serving a mission was always on my mind, but I really wanted to make sure if what I was taught growing up was true. I took time to pray and ask the Lord really if what I've been living was true, and a spiritual confirmation came to me and let me know that yes, it was! Since then, I go forward and don't look back! Being a Mormon really has helped me! I have a lot of confidence knowing that God really has a plan for me personally and that through constant obedience to His gospel, I'll be blessed! That isn't the only reason I am a member of this church, though - the blessings. I am a member because I know that this life is not the end! Our mortal journey, while it may seem monotonous, is unique! For example, I have no idea what I'm going to do with my life career-wise, but it doesn't stop me from going out and trying new things! I'm probably one of hundreds of thousands of college students who don't know what they're majoring in, but I know that God has a plan for me! While I may not know it right now, I can still try to do what will make my Heavenly Father and also myself happy!

How I live my faith

One way I have lived my faith is going on a mission! Those 2 years were great - the hardest, but I really learned a lot not only about myself, but about the basic truths of the gospel! I've always tried to serve others, because it's in the service we give to others that we serve God, and the service of preaching the Lord's gospel has been the greatest experience of my life! I try to be an example to others. I may not always have the right words to say, but I hope people see my example, more than they hear my words, so I try to show them how I live my faith. I go to church on Sundays not because I "have" to, but because I enjoy the feelings at church and getting to see and hear other peoples' experiences as we all go through everyday life. While everybody has different experiences, we all have the same end goal - to return to live again with our Heavenly Father!

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Missionaries share a message of joy and happiness - a message of Jesus Christ and His restored gospel. There's a lot of confusion in the earth today and God is not the source of that confusion, but missionaries have been called of God to share that the Lord has once again provided the way for us to return back to live with Him.
