Hi I'm Ty Henrie

I love the mountains, and the humidity. I'm a triathlete and a crochetter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love running, biking and being outside. I learned to crochet when I was younger, and I still enjoy making things for other people. I spend time with my family as much as I can, because the family is where it's at. I'm attending college, with the hope of doing something more with my life. I say that because my mind is always racing with ideas about what I should do: mechanical engineering, physical therapy-the list is ENDLESS!!!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were members of the Church, and they raised me to be a church-going person. However, they never pushed me into doing things. That's one of the nice things about the Church-it's an invitation! I decided to keep living the things that I had learned because I had seen the blessings and the miracles that come from so doing. I've seen that it is easier to follow the commandments willingly, both from my own experiences and from the choices of others.

How I live my faith

I do a lot of things to show my faith. I served a two-year mission in the Texas Houston South Mission-an experience I wouldn't change for anything. I study the scriptures to learn more of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I pray to God, our Heavenly Father, to thank Him for the blessings He gives me and to ask for His help when I need it. I attend my meetings, and I am always ready to lend a helping hand. It's not enough to lift ourselves-we need to bring others on the path with us. And how can we help others come higher on the path that leads us back to God if we ourselves aren't striving daily to do the same?
