Hi I'm Lovisa

Hi I live in San Diego. I work with children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a support staff for a child care in my area. I love children and watching them think for them-selves. This helps me understand my relationship to my Heavenly Father. I love Hiking, watching movies, hiking, gardening and just plain getting my hands dirty. When I was a kid I would make mud pies or just feel the mud because the texture was soothing to me. As an adult I have to find excuses to get dirty. Last weekend there was a service project and I volunteered for prime rose pulling. The prime rose is a water growing plant. Unfortunately it takes all the oxygen out of the water killing the water life. To pull this plant you get very wet and dirty. Perfect for someone like me! I Love volunteering with a group of people. I feel like I'm part of something bigger than myself.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this church learning about Jesus Christ, the Scriptures, and faith. There comes a time that you can't just take what others say as knowledge. You have to find out for yourself. That time came for me when I was about twelve. I was told I could find out for my self if I prayed and asked God. I remember coming home form church One Sunday and kneeling by my bed, praying to know if it was true. Was God really there? Did he hear me? Is the book of Mormon true? I remember getting up without a sure knowledge. So I tried it again, and again till one time I said "Heavenly Father I am not leaving until I get an answer. I waited and waited but I remember getting that answer. It was so sweet, peaceful and filled my body with light.

How I live my faith

In the Church I serve as the second consolor of my congragations Womans Organisation. The name of it is Relief Scoiety.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Lovisa
At baptism we make promises with God and he makes promises with us. Such an important step needs authority. Not only to prepare the person to make the covenants but also to help the individual grow through out their life. Show more Show less
