Hi I'm Teresa Teeples

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the 4th of 6 children & grew up in Provo, Utah as a life long member of the Church. I am a wife, the mother of 10 (5 sons & 5 daughters), & grandmother of 34 ...so far. I recently went to part-time work as a licensed insurer and banker to be with my sweet mother-in-law during her annual 6 month visits from October till April. Mom suffers from Alzheimers and is a fairly recent widow and I feel very fortunate to have this precious time with her. I, also, help with several grandchildren as needs arise.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as an active member of this church, initially relying on my parent's beliefs. My father died when I was 16 years old and I got a little off track for a few years. At the age of 21, my 1st marriage fell apart, leaving me with a baby and a 2 year old to raise on my own. I realized I needed to give my children the sure anchor of the Church to rely on and I returned to full activity. My testimony of the truth of the Church grows stronger with each passing year. I know this church is true, I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers, I know Jesus Christ is my savior and I enjoy the priviledge of having the Holy Ghost's companionship. I know the Book of Mormon is what we claim it to be & Joseph Smith was a true prophet. I know that President Thomas S Monson is the true prophet of God leading the Church today. I know that I am a daughter of God & I lived with Him before I came to earth and that I'll return to Him when my life ends. I know through numerous experiences and teachings that there is life after death and that our families can be together forever. The Lord, my husband, children, grandchildren and Church are and will always be the most important things in my life.

How I live my faith

I love being a "Mormon", I love the teachings, friendships and support I receive from fellow members of the church. I have served in many callings & leadership positions over the youngest children to the oldest adults and all the ages in between. I feel a great duty to share the truth that God & Jesus live and love us and want us to return to live with them after our life on earth ends. I cannot always help my loved ones as much as I'd like to, since many of them do not live near me; but I can help those around me in my work & community and trust that other church members & good people will help those I love. I have been blessed in every area of my life by this Church and hope to pass those blessings along to others I meet along my way. I always try to remember Jesus' words, (paraphrazed)...In as much as you've done it unto the least of mankind, ye've done it unto me. Love is the answer to most, if not all problems.
