Hi I'm Amanda Rogers

I'm a Mormon living a happy life with an eternalistic, optimistic attitude! I live in Roy, Utah!

About Me

So my name is Amanda. I love to be outdoors, dance, sing, read, write, play piano, learning new things, serving others, and just jamming out with my peeps. Music is a big part of my life, I love it so much. I've started by 2nd year of college, where my major is music. I am also taking classes at the Ogden LDS Institute and I love it! I'm a member of the Institute Choralaires, and I love my Choralaires Family!! We laugh, and sing praises to the Lord. We love singing hymns of praise, and my life has been so blessed because of them. I love Broadway, I am always singing and dancing. Hmm some favorite foods? I love Italian food, it is magnifico! I love dancing, even though I am not the best dancer, I love playing Just Dance with my friends, I can feel dorky and just have a good time. I also love photography. I am a photo nerd!! If I wasn't a singer, than my call would be photography, but I love doing photography on the side. Currently I have no job, because of the economy it has been pretty challenging to find a job, however I babysit on the side, and what a joy it is. I love the kids I watch they are truly the sweetest kids on earth, and I love just having fun with them. Other than that, I think that covers it, I just try to live right, and stay optimistic, and eternalistic, have fun, and keep smiling, and singing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I want to be. I have chosen to be, no one has forced me to be a member, my parents haven't forced this religion on me. I have chosen it for myself, I have asked and received personal revelation that it is true. It has brought so much joy to my life. I know this is the true church today. I know the Book of Mormon to be true, it is indeed, another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that we have Heavenly Parents that love us and want the very best for us, I know that Jesus Christ, our Savior, our brother came here to Earth, and atoned, died, and was resurrected for each of us so that we could return to our Heavenly home to our Heavenly Parents. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet called of God, to restore this Gospel, and that President Thomas S. Monson is the presiding prophet, seer, and revelator. I know that the general authorities of the church are called of God, and that this is God's Church, and that our leaders are directed by the hand of God. I know this to be true, "I know that my Redeemer lives, and while he lives I'll sing." I know that the Church of Jesus Christ is the true church, and I will never deny that. I'm so grateful for all the many blessings in my life, for the scriptures, for everything. I love this Gospel with all my heart, and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

One of the ways I love to live my faith is by service. The Savior, every day of his life, gave service. He gave of himself. I've been able to participate in many community service activities, to brighten up our community, by cleaning it up, or with some choirs I've been in, provided music to people in the community. I've sang with them for nursing homes, homeless shelters, and community centers. I love helping others, and learning their stories. And service, brings people together, no matter who you are, what you believe, it brings people together. I love seeing that unity, it helps make the world better in a little, but so profound way. I hope that I've been able to help others, and they feel the love behind it. We are all here together, and instead of putting each other down or just being involved in our own lives, we could serve others. And it can be a small service to, nothing big. A smile, a hug, or a helping hand. I love this Gospel because behind it there is so much love, and hope. I'm also preparing to serve a full time LDS Mission, to spread the glorious message of this Gospel to those who don't know about it or who want to learn more about it. This Gospel is such a precious gift.
