Hi I'm Julie

I grew up in Florida, I love sports, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play sports. I swim competitively, I love hanging out with my friends, eating french fries, and enjoy watching the classic disney movies. My parents have their own business that we as a family help keep together. I love my parents and my siblings even though they can be annoying at times, they are still great and I wouldn't trade them for anything. I will be serving a full time mission in the California San Diego Mission and cannot wait to feel that love and joy that comes from our Heavenly Father when we choose to serve him and his children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a first generation member of the church, my mother and father were both converts. I know that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. When I was 13 I was told I would never see from my left eye again. A priesthood blessing given to me two days later when my other eye began showing the same signs as my left eye, changed all that. The next day I was in my ophthalmologists office when my vision was tested and I had perfect vision. Since then i've had ups and downs that require me to constantly be mindful of my health in case of a relapse, but I know that without Joseph Smith restoring Christ's gospel I would not have been able to have one of the most wonderful priesthood blessings that allows me to see with even better vision. I continue on with my testimony because I know that there is nothing greater than knowing that wherever I go I will have my Lord, my God, with me. (Joshua 1:9)

How I live my faith

I am the youth president for the young women ages 16-18 of a small but strong Spanish branch. I am on a stake family mission there and have been for four years now and cannot imagine not being around a branch with one of the strongest spirits I have ever felt. I constantly strive to live a life that will allow me to return to live with my Father in Heaven. I love my family dearly. I know I'm not perfect but I try my best to live a life that shows my love to both God, and His son, Jesus Christ.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

By praying to Him. In James 1:5 we can see that our Father in Heaven encourages us to do so. When we keep His commandments and study the scriptures we grow closer to Him because we are learning about Him. Show more Show less
