Hi I'm Andrew, the redhead!

I'm a returned missionary. I'm an Eagle Scout. I'm a fraternal twin. I absolutely love to help people! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an Eagle Scout; my project was to plan and execute a Foster Children's Fair. I'm a returned missionary; Peru was my designated country. I am a dyed-in-the-blood, true blue-through-and-through book worm. I enjoy Facebook, Youtube, and all things to do with technology. I like to going to the YMCA and getting a good workout. I usually stick with lifting weights, running, and bicycling. I'm a military gypsy who has traveled all around the United States, thanks to my Dad. And after going to Peru, I love traveling EVEN MORE!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon thanks to God sending me to my wonderful parents. I am eternally grateful that He sent a returned missionary to meet my father and start him on the path to what became his whole-hearted conversion. My testimony is founded in the wonderful truth that God is our Heavenly Father and we are His children. This divine concept gives purpose and life to all things;the substance of the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I have seen this life-giving concept bring hope, love and solutions to every family and person who has accepted and followed this truth. God, as our Father, loves us more than we can comprehend, yet wants us to feel His love. I testify that He wants each of us to love and be loved; for it is only through love can we and others be changed and have happiness. He wants us to know what is true and live by it, thereby enabling us to come back to Him. I know that if one experiments and gives God the opportunity to enter our lives, He will come in and we will feel it. I was baptized at 8 years of age and I distinctly remember that I wanted to be baptized and follow Jesus. It was in the years that followed that I learned for myself the truthfulness of the Gospel and that I was in the true church; by relying on God with all of my questions and weaknesses, in all of my trials and problems.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping people to the best of my ability. Doing what the Saviour did brings me happiness and often helps me with my personal struggles. I've just recently returned from serving the people of Peru for two years. It was wonderful seeing how God can help so many different people in so many different ways but also sad to see how some people didn't have the patience or the faith so that God could guide them. I try to always pray and talk with my Father (God) about my life and what I should do/change. I believe that communicating with God is just as or even more important than communicating with your family...it's how we learn to follow and trust Him. Reading the scriptures gives me added guidance about things I should or should not be doing, and sometimes gives me a little pat on the back. They're like a bunch of letters from God, while they were sent to different people God has put secret messages in them to help us too. Going to church helps me to remember everything that Jesus Christ has done for me and how I can continue following Him and strengthen my faith that He lives. Honestly, I've always loved serving others...feeling that "good feeling"....ever more so now that I've been able to dedicate two years in doing so...now that I'm back I'm continuing to work on my character/temper and do what Jesus would do.
