Hi I'm Erik Nelson

I'm from Pocatello. I play Rugby for Portneuf Valley All High School Rugby Team aka 'Honey Badgers. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Pocatello. I am currently attending Century High School. I'm a Soccer Referee and also a rugby player. I play the positions Lock( second row) and Tighthead Prop. I love attending Seminary.

Why I am a Mormon

I wasn't much at going to church and other church activities. The only reason I went was just to get out of the house. Right before my great-grandfther died, I was talking to him and he always went to church. so i decided to see what he did when I visited him. I would see church-related materials laid out. So I read the Book of Moromon and really studied it. Then I prayed about it and the most wonderful feeling came over me it was the spirit and I knew the Gospel of Jesus Christ was true and this is the only true chruch and the leader are inspired.I also believe that Joesph Smith was called of God.

How I live my faith

I am always involved in my church activites.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

There is a poem called WHY MOTHERS CRY. In the story a boy i wondering why his mother is crying for no reason. When he asks his mother why she is crying she says," Because I'm a mother". The boy doesn't understand. His mother hugs him and says you never will. The boy goes to his father and asks why his mother is crying his father's reply is." All mothers cry for no reason." As the boy grows to become a man he is has the same question on his mind. The boy gets God on the 'phone' and asks why mother cry so easily. God says," I had to make mothers special." God goes on," I made their shoulder strong enough to comfort. I gave them inner strength to endure childbirth and rejection that comes from their children. I gave them sensitivity to love their children under all circumstances. and i gave them a tear to shed Show more Show less
