Hi I'm Michael B

I live and grew up in Virginia. I like the outdoors. I am a volunteer ambulance driver. I work as an accountant and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a beautiful wife. I started working in the accounting field after graduating in December 2012. I spent two years in Mexico, I speak English and Spanish. I like growing vegetables, hunting, sports, other outdoors activities, and making new friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always known that Jesus loves us. This message attracted me at 20 years old when I heard about the Church and met great people. I knew there was something different about this Church and its members immediately. When I prayed I knew it was true. I love the Bible, the Book of Mormon and learning more about our Savior.

How I live my faith

I work hard to be a loving and understanding friend, husband, brother, and son. I like to volunteer my time at a hometown volunteer rescue squad and help those in need.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Michael B
We don't have paid clergy because the Lord wants to give us many opportunities to serve as volunteers and grow. We grow by willingly filling positions for the time the Lord sees fit in his church to do his work. It is good to learn of him but it is better to be like him, and so we do as we serve as unpaid clergy or in other respects. Show more Show less

What is the priesthood?

Michael B
It is the authority to act in God's name here on the earth. It is a great blessing to those who have it and to those that receive blessings from those who hold this sacred authority. I am glad to have such an awesome responsibility. Show more Show less
