Hi I'm Kim Golling

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of ten children. I am currently a pre-nursing student. I love to exercise and spend time with my husband and children. I also really love to do my homework, weird I know. My husband and I have eight biological children and we adopted two boys from Ukraine last year.

Why I am a Mormon

My brother joined the church when I was a teenager and each family member joined over the next several years. Unfortunately, I waited another sixteen years. I joined the church after the birth of my first child. There was something about having that beautiful baby that made me so grateful for my life. It was then that I felt something lacking in my life, something didn't feel complete. I struggled as a new convert and went inactive until the birth of my second child. At that time my husband was introduced to the church and we converted together. Everything that is important in life fell into place when he joined the church. We were sealed as a family a year after his baptism. I am a Mormon because there is something in this world that is bigger than I am. My Heavenly Father and my Savior love me and gave me everyone that is important to me. My goal in this life is to become the best that I can become so that I can live again with my Heavenly Father and my family forever. There is no better way to raise children and to live than by the commandments and gospel of Jesus Christ. I am forever indebted to my Heavenly Father and my Savior for everything that they have done for me and continue to do for me everyday. I know they are there carefully guiding me along the path. I try my hardest to be worthy to receive the light and knowledge they have for me so I can be a guiding light to my family. The Gospel has become an intricate part of who I am. I am an individual capable of making my own decisions and I chose to follow the Savior and his commandments. I love my Father in Heaven and I love the Savior and His Church.

How I live my faith

My current calling in the Church is as the Scout Committee Chair for the Scouts in our troop ages 11-18. We have the finest group of young men I have ever met. My job is mainly paperwork to keep the troop organized and running but my favorite part of it is when I can interact with my husband's group of boys and our own boys. I love to help them in anyway I can. My favorite calling in the church was when I was Relief Society Secretary. I was able to get to know all of the women in our ward and I truly love them all. I have found that the more you serve others, the easier it is to truly love them. I personally live my faith by reading the scriptures and praying often. I teach my children the best that I can about their purpose in life and where they can find their answers and the direction that they will need as they become independent adults.
