Hi I'm Julia Lewis

I grew up with a large family of 9 kids. I'm a student at BYU-Idaho and I love to serve people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the 8th of 9 kids and am an aunt to 21 nieces and nephews. I love spending time with family and friends and am excited to have my own family soon as I am preparing to get married the end of this year. My interests include reading, going hiking, watching BYU football, visiting the elderly, and playing the piano. I'm studying psychology at BYU-Idaho and I want to help girls who struggle with eating disorders. I love helping and visiting people and love learning about different cultures. I hope to travel to other countries and help in humanitarian work and/or be a missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have a testimony of Jesus Christ that He lives and that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us. Even though I grew up as a Mormon and the principles were taught in my home, I still had to gain a testimony for myself. It started with reading the scriptures everyday and gaining the understanding of God's plan for His children. The Book of Mormon became a strength to me and I grew to love it as I continued to study it daily. I took the challenge to ask God if all of this was true. I did this when I was 13 and I felt a peaceful and strong feeling that this was right. Time and again it has been witnessed to me that God does live and Jesus is the Christ and that there is hope in this world because of Him. I continue to follow His gospel because I have faith that all things will be made right in the end and that abiding by His commandments and covenants that we can return to live with Him again as eternal families. I love the joy and peace that the Gospel brings in my everyday life, especially through the difficult times. Jesus Christ makes everything possible and I love Him and His gospel.

How I live my faith

I'm a volunteer who helps prepare the music for the congregation every Sunday. I live my faith through service to the other women in my ward and try to find ways to teach and uplift and share messages about Jesus Christ and my love and testimony of Him. I live my faith through my efforts to be a good example and disciple of Jesus Christ. I try to live in such a way that people will want to know Jesus Christ because they know that I love Him and want to serve Him.
