Hi I'm Linda

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in California. I am a mother of 5 children. I love music and nature. I've lived in Delaware for 25 years.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California with friends of many faiths. In my high school I was active in sports, drama, debate, school government, dance and doing good in my studies. I went to college and was working on my Masters when I met my husband. I liked to sing with family, friends and choirs. I have loved to read good books, especially biographies of great people, and histories of great places and events throughout the world. My greatest challenge and joy is being a Mother to 5 children. They are all grown and with children of their own now. I have taken art classes, joined book clubs, worked part time as a school teacher, secretary and librarian in these later years. I'm planning on being the "Grandma Moses" of Delaware before I turn 100!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I tried to live by the principles it taught, especially a reliance on my Savior Jesus Christ. I observed my family, friends and the world around me and found I was happy and at peace when many around me were floundering amidst the confusion of contrary voices. I studied the scriptures, including the Bible, for myself. I felt a confirmation that I was "in the way of happiness" and made decisions to seek out and continue on that pathway throughout my life. Life has had many challenges; it has not been easy, nor do I expect it will be especially as I grow older. I can testify that I have been buoyed up and blessed by my Heavenly Father and have hope and faith that I can someday attain, through my Savior Jesus Christ, Eternal Life as He has promised in the Scriptures.

How I live my faith

I have been active in the Church as it helps us to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ through attendance at Sunday worship services, other meetings throughout the week, and in visiting and serving others in our congregation and outer community. I have been a teacher of the Scriptures to children, youth and adults. I have participated in and been a leader in sports, drama, girls youth camping, boy scouts, homemaking, choirs, and service projects that extend into the world with humanitarian services wherever needed. I have tried (with flawed human efforts and results) to be an example "of the believer". I have sought to love my neighbor and be an influence for good.
