Hi I'm Angelyn

I grew up in Utah and California. I taught English in Taiwan. I am married and have five children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be with family. I like to quilt and do puzzles. I also like to ride my road bike. My husband and I go on bike rides together when we can. I majored in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. After graduating from college, I taught English in Taiwan. Now I am married and thankful to be a stay-at-home mother. I have five sweet children.

Why I am a Mormon

I love The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was raised in the Church and my ancestors have been stong member of the Church for generations. I choose to be active in this Church because I know it is true. I know that Jesus Christ is at the head of this Church. We have His gospel. He speaks to Prophets in these days just as He has from time to time since Adam was on the earth. After Jesus Christ was crucified and the Apostles were killed, the pure gospel and Church and the authority to lead it were taken from the earth. That authority and pure doctrine have been returned to the earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith. That authority has continued to be passed on and now President Thomas S. Monson has that full authority. I know that he is the Prophet the Lord has chosen to lead us today. I know that Jesus Christ was born for us, lived for us, and died for us. Jesus Christ atoned for us so that we can return to our Heavenly Father. He suffered for our pains, sorrows, and sins, if we will repent. Jesus Christ was resurrected and lives now. We will all be resurrected. Jesus Christ has also shown how our families can be together for eternity. I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The standards help me to feel free and happy. Peace and joy come through Jesus Christ and by living His gospel.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday. I teach three-year-olds the gospel. The gospel is so simple and beautiful that young children are able to understand its principles. I also help with the Cub Scouts. We meet every week. The scouting program goes along with programs in the church to help the boys reach their potential and become great men. I also go Visiting Teaching, where I visit ladies and see how I can help them and talk with them about the gospel and about how it blesses our lives and is helping us get through trials we are experiencing at the time. I know Heavenly Father hears my prayers and that He answers them according to my faith and what He knows is best for me. I can pray to Him in the name of Jesus Christ any time and express my feelings, gratitude, needs, and desires. I learn so much from reading the scriptures. I study many scriptures, including The Book of Mormon and the King James Version of the Bible. My family prays together and we read the Book of Mormon together every day and it strengthens our family.
