Hi I'm Carmen

I am a college graduate. I am a daughter and a sister. I am a planner and a dreamer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from college with a Bachelor's in Family Studies. I enjoy exercising. Before college, I ran on my high school's cross country and track teams and weight lifted. I enjoy reading. I really enjoy books like the Harry Potter or Fablehaven series. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. We often like to go see movies, or go out to eat.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be. When I was 10 years old, I had the opportunity to talk with the missionaries. When I was learning about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (also known as the Mormon church), I felt peace and comfort in the missionaries' words. I also felt that for me, the Mormon church is the only church that has answered all of my questions and made me feel at home. I wondered about who I was and what happened when I died. I wondered about families and why I was born into my family. I wondered about all sorts of things. Before learning about the Mormons, I went to other churches, but I did not feel the same kind of peace and comfort I felt when I was beginning to attend The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As I grew up and went on to college, I struggled a lot with who I am and I found that what gave me comfort and peace were the things that I had learned while attending the Mormon church during my teenage years and the things that I continue to learn as I attend church now as a young adult. I still feel the same peace I felt when I was 10 years old. I am Mormon because of my recurring affirmation of peace and comfort in the knowledge that I am a Daughter of God and that Jesus Christ is my Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time. I have found that each day I devote myself to God are the days when I am most happy. I try to live my faith by serving others and doing what God would have me do.
