Hi I'm Tyler Riggs

I'm a changer of all that is living, player of all that is fun, and lifter of all that is heavy - and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm big into weight lifting, which keeps me fit and helps me get bigger and stronger. I love computer technology and am an A+ Certified IT Technician. I am going to BYU (Provo) studying business (possibly international) with a major in computer engineering. I also love snowboarding, wake boarding, water tubing, four wheeling, snowmobiling, fishing, laser tag, paint balling, football, movies, mini golf, video games, and pretty much anything else that´s awesome and fun. I'm currently in Mexico mastering my Spanish Speaking skills.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know that it contains the FULLNESS of the gospel. By this I mean that the entire truth has been restored. While most churches are not completely wrong, they only have partial truths. The same church that Jesus Christ established while he was on the earth has been restored, and has been given the name The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This is not a church of man, nor is it the church of Joseph Smith. It is the church of Jesus Christ, as it is written in the name of the church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by learning more about the gospel through the scriptures (the Holy Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price). I then try to apply the principles that I learn in the scriptures to my life.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Tyler Riggs
Many people claim that Mormons only read the Book Of Mormon and regard it as the only true scripture. This is not true. The Book of Mormon is ANOTHER testament of Jesus Christ, as indicated in the title page. It is meant to be an addition to the Bible. We believe the Bible to be the word of God, so long as it is translated correctly. parts of the Bible (mainly the Old Testament) has had meanings that were lost in translation and copying. Through the process of translation, much of it was altered according to the ideas of men and how they thought it should have been written. Unlike the Bible, the Book of Mormon has been translated directly from the original text to English, and we then translate it for the other languages. We still believe the Bible to be Holy Scripture, although some of it's doctrine has been lost or distorted. Si. Show more Show less
