Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a teacher, wife, traveler, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an elementary school teacher. I'm a wife who wakes up early to make smoothies for her husband. I love to make things. I love Spanish language and culture. I moved around a lot as a kid. I've lived in over 11 states. I make extra delicious chocolate chip cookies. I love dogs.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe the LDS church is God's church on the earth today. My parents raised me in the LDS church and I plan on raising my children in the church as well. Being a member of the church has always been a central part of my life. When I was a teenager I came to realize for myself that I believed what I was taught at church. I wasn't just going anymore because my Mom and Dad always went. I love being a member of the church because it is full of goodness, love, and peace. The people aren't perfect but the teachings are. Membership in the church helps me to grow and get outside of my comfort zone. It gives me a sense of community and purpose. I'm helping others and they're helping me. I have found no greater joy in life than when I'm participating in church activities and sharing my beliefs with others.

How I live my faith

I work with the children in our church. I keep track of which children are coming and if any of them need help. I visit other women in the church to make sure their doing well and that their families are too. We take care of each other; bringing meals when someone is sick or when a new baby has arrived. We try to know what's going on in each others lives so we can be there during the good and bad times.
