Hi I'm Cody Roskelley

I'm a Mormon. I live in Houston Texas with my family. I served a mission in Italy. I am happily married and have four kids.

About Me

I am married with four kids. I served a mission in Italy. I work in commercial real estate. I enjoy coaching soccer. I also enjoy working with the Boy Scouts of America. I attended BYU for my undergraduate degree, and Rice University for my MBA. I am a commercial real estate broker. I enjoy watching BYU sports, and spending time with my family at the beach and camping.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read The Book of Mormon and know that it is true. I also know that The Church of Jesus Christ is the only true church upon the earth. I know that Joseph Smith was called of God to restore the gospel of Jesus Christ here on the earth. I know that we have a living prophet guiding Christ's church today. I know that I am a son of a loving Heavenly Father. I know that Jesus is the Christ, and that he overcame both physical and spritual death for me. Because of Jesus, I can repent of my sins, and one day return to live with a my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by: 1. Reading the scriptures with my family 30 minutes a day. 2. Saying my prayers at least twice a day. 3. Attending my church meetings and partaking of the Sacrament each Sunday. 4. Holding Family Home Evening every Monday night. 5. Reachig out to the boys in the Scouting program. 6. Teaching my children about Christ. 7. Daily repenting 8. Attending the temple regularly. 9. Sharing the gospel with my friends and neighbors here in Texas.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Cody Roskelley
The Bible is Holy scripture, and it is inspired of God. I spent a year of my life teaching the Old Testament to High School students. The stories recorded in the Bible are true, and they help us learn of Christ. I am grateful that the Bible is a witness of Christ. I am also grateful that the Book of Mormon is a second witness of Christ. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall God's word be established. The Bible and the Book of Mormon both witness that Jesus is the Christ. The teachings of both books proclaim that Jesus is the Savior of the world. Show more Show less
