Hi I'm Lori

Part-member family, divorced parents, step-parents, divorce, single mother, step-mom.

About Me

I grew up and went to school in Wyoming. I graduated in Dental Hygiene. I worked the day I had my eldest son and have not returned, that was nearly 13 years ago!!! I did grow up in a part-member family. My parents split when I was in high school and later divorced. My siblings have all left the church. My mom remarried, this time in the temple and I have been sealed to her and my step-dad! I married a returned missionary in the temple and had 4 kids. Things didn't go as planned, after 10 years I found myself a divorced single mom of 4. I remarried and gained 4 step children and know what it is like to live apart from your husband due to work. My passion is to design and create one of a kind appliqued baby quilts. I am currently trying to make it into a business. I also enjoy doing any sort of crafts, hiking, being outdoors with my family, refinishing furniture, home improvements, and working on personal and family history, and attending the temple. Above all, it's My FAMILY!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of two things. First, because of my mother! Secondly, the principle of eternal families! My mom lived and still does live a life of faith, courage and love. I grew up knowing she loved me and the gospel, because of her example I knew my deepest desire was to be a mom. My mom made sure my siblings and I were at church and some time in my early years I was taught the principle of eternal families and the spirit of Elijah consumed my heart. That was the seedling that took root leading to the testimony I have today!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing what I can each day. It starts within the chambers of my own heart and then stretches out to my family. I do all that I can to teach my children correct principles as they are faced with opposing standards at their fathers. Then I reach out to those around me. I am currently on a committee to plan activities for the women in the church and I love the calling!
