Hi I'm Matt McClung

I'm currently serving a mission in Fresno, CA. I love music. My family and friends mean everything to me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am serving in Fresno, CA speaking Spanish. When I get back I will be a freshman at Brigham Young University studying Sound Recording Technology. I love playing piano, guitar, skiing, soccer, reading, hiking, mountain biking, singing, going to the beach, and spending time with my friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the message of the Restoration and the Atonement bring me so much happiness. When I was seventeen, I prayed to my Father in Heaven to know if the Book of Mormon was the word of God. Through the confirmation of the Spirit, I came to know that it is. That knowledge has blessed me in many many ways. I have a reason to be the best I possibly can be and to serve Him with all my might. Because the Book of Mormon is true, I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God who restored the Gospel of Jesus Christ to its fullness in our time. I know that Christ suffered in Gethsemane and on the cross so that he could know exactly how to comfort us in every affliction we face. Through the Atonement, we can be cleansed from sin and freed from guilt and shame. I know that through the Plan of Salvation and the covenants I made in the temple, that I will live with my family for all time and eternity. I know these things are true, not because someone told me they are true or convinced me, but because I have prayed to know the truth and recieved answers through the Holy Ghost. I know that anyone in this world can also come to this knowledge if they ask God with sincerity and real intent.

How I live my faith

I love being active in my ward! I have been a leader of different youth groups and love to see all my friends there. It is an awesome thing to be an example to all my friends at school who are not Mormon and to help them be good people in all that they do.
