Hi I'm Gail Alexander

Life is sweet in spite of trials and challenges. I'm a Mormon. That makes all the difference. I know God lives and loves me.

About Me

I was born in Tennessee and moved to Utah in 1970. I have 9 children, 7 boys and 2 girls. I also have 14 grandchildren, 9 boys and 5 girls. I thoroughly enjoyed motherhood and love being a grandma. I am diovorced at the present time but hoping that will change one day soon. I love to sew and craft. Genealogy and family histories are of great interest and have been persuing them for a while. Some of my favorite things to do are to enjoy God's creations. I love doing anything outdoors. I like to plan landscaping ideas and then carry them out. I also love to garden. I love to read, didn't do that much in my youth but after being married to a book worm I developed a great love for reading. One of my most favorite callings in the church was to be a Blazer Scout leader. Those boys were so much fun and we accomplished so much together. I have held many other callings but none more fun than working with the youth. I was also a counselor in the Young Women's. I went to Eagle Gate College and received an Associates Degree in Pharmacy Technology. That was one of the most rewarding experiences for me personally. I had a great fear of returning to school at 56 years of age. I overcame and even graduated with a 3.97 GPA. Many good experiences came from going back to school. It did much for my self-esteem. It was well worth all the sacrifices made and I would do it all over again.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon first because my mom was. However I am a Mormon now because I choose to be. We didn't really become avtive as a family until I was 10 and in Primary. Throughout my life even at a very young age I have had experiences that have drawn me to the church and it's validity. I love the gospel and all it teaches me. I believe I am who I am today because of the gospel. I know that God lives and is very much a part of my daily life, I have seen his hand in my life in so many ways. I know that he loves me personally. I know that Jesus Christ lives and is my brother. I know also that he has a great love for me. I am grateful for his sacrifice on my behalf. I am grateful to know that families can be together forever through this church and temple work. I so want to be with my family forever when we leave this earth life. The church is true. I believe it with all my heart.

How I live my faith

I live the gospel each day of my life by reading the scriptures and praying at least twice a day. I attend church every Sunday and participate in discussions. I attend the temple every week and do work there for those who have passed on. I have Family Home Evening each week and pay my tithes and offerings. I love visiting teaching and sharing the gospel with others. I love to listen to or attend the sessions of General Conference, the meetings broadcast every 6 months worldwide. I try very hard to follow the counsel of the brethren to be self reliant.
