Hi I'm Micah

I research sound and acoustics. I'm a Husband and Father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I study how things such as planes, boats and even musical instruments vibrate and make sound. I try to determine ways to optimize those sounds for their specific purpose using measurements and computer simulations. I enjoy playing soccer and Ultimate as well as listening to classical music and playing the piano. I also love spending time with my wife and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I remember learning about the Bible and the Book of Mormon as a kid and teenager. I realized that reading the scriptures was important so I read everyday through all of high school. That helped me to learn what about the purpose of our life, the need for a Saviour and the importance of living prophets. I have felt the Holy Spirit testify to me many times of their truthfulness.

How I live my faith

I have tried in my life to follow Christ by acting as he would. As I tried to do so, I have come to know of the joy and peace that comes through following Jesus Christ. Since I have become a husband and father, I see more than ever the need for my Savior and the importance of giving selfless service to my family and others.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Jesus asked his disciples to "teach all nations." The missionaries of the church perform a selfless act by spending time dedicated only to teaching other about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and performing service. Since we believe in the church that there is a purpose of our earthly life and that joy comes through Christ, we want share this belief with others. Show more Show less
