Hi I'm Dave

I'm a husband, father, optometrist, and an Ironman. I'm also a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in California and raised in Southern Utah. I came from a large family of 8 kids. I grew up on a farm. I learned to work hard and play hard. I have always enjoyed people and the outdoors. I always loved science and math and went to school to become an Optometrist. I have enjoyed playing many sports but have come to love swimming, biking, and running.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon, but at some point in time I needed to find out for myself, the truth of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. And I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and that God still speaks to living prophets today. I know that by living by the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that I am a better person, husband, father, and an overall better human being. Being a member of His church makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith like Jesus would do, by serving others and showing kindness to others. I have served in callings with various youth programs, and other adult programs. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of service. I find that when I serve others, my love for them increases and I can see a portion of the love that the Savior feels for his people. In the community, I have served in the Lions Club, and am now serving in the Rotary International Club.
