Hi I'm Sam

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Living in Utah, I love the access we have to mountains in the summer, winter, and all seasons of the year. I learned to snowboard a few years ago. Before that I didn't care much for the winter. Now I look forward to the cold and the snow. Snowshoeing is pretty great too. I am a single guy but am blessed with exceptional friends and family. I recently finished school and work as an engineer. We're in the business of friction stir welding. Rather than bore you with the details here, a search on the internet will inform you about the process, if you're curious.

Why I am a Mormon

I've found great personal satisfaction and fulfillment in being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It has shaped my life in ways that are meaningful. I feel secure in following the teachings of Jesus Christ. His teachings act as an anchor and provide steadiness to my life in a world where there is growing confusion, uncertainty, and fear.

How I live my faith

I serve in my local congregation by helping the youth. In addition to Sunday meetings, we have weekly activities and regular campouts. The youth I work with have faith, courage, and a desire to good. I find that inspiring. I try to live daily with a perspective and understanding that all people are children of God. There are opportunities everywhere, all the time, to do something for someone to lift them up. I have felt loved, by God, family, and friends. I want other people to feel that love too and to know that they are important.
