Hi I'm Chad

I'm a russet. I'm a sports lover. I am excited for what life will bring. I'm a Mormon

About Me

Like i said i'm a sports lover. I come from a family of 7 and we all love to play. In particular I love football and basketball. I played on the highschool teams for football, basketball, golf, and cross crountry. Sports have been a big part of my life and I hope to be able to go on and play football in college. I'm an Eagle Scout and I love being in out in nature. Just at the lake, camping, hiking, fishing, it doesn't matter where I love it. I'm a big fan of hard work. I've lived on a farm for a lot of my life and there is nothing that is more rewarding then working hard and getting your hands a little dirty. I love my family, I love being with them, they have always supported and encourgaged me on. One day i look forward to having a family of my own. Sports, work, family, and God. Those are the things that have made me who I am right now.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. Both my parents are Mormon, my whole family is Mormon so i just grew up being Mormon. And i loved the Church but at the same time i was kinda just relying on the testimony of my parents. So around the time that I was fourteen i had kinda decided that there were just way to many rules and I really didn't want to follow them. So i just sorta fell away from all of it. I think i knew the Church was true but i just didn't want to live it. So I ended up doing a lot of things that I knew were wrong but all I wanted was to have fun and be happy. And for awhile i thought i was happy, but after a few years i realized that i wasn't, that there was something that I was missing. So I started coming back, I started living what I knew to be right. At first it was really hard because although I knew I needed to change, I didn't want to. So it took a lot of prayers from my parents, my family, and other people in my life. It took a couple examples of people that I really looked up and who I wanted to be better for. And then it took a few hard kicks in the right direction, but finally i came back. I'm a Mormon and i love being a Mormon because everything about this church makes me better, makes me happy. Everything points to the Savior, Jesus Christ, my older brother. I know that is only through Christ, by coming unto him, and following his example, that we can live with God again. I know that as I try to do what Christ did, as I try to live my life so that what I do reflects Him, then I will able to be better. I'll be a better brother, i'll be a better son, and when the time comes i'll be a better husband, i'll be a better father, and a better man.

How I live my faith

I think that the best way that I show my faith is in the hope that i have for the future. Every Sunday I get to go to church and partake of the sacrament, remember what Christ has done for me, and learn more about him. Everytime that I do something right, when i follow him, I become a little bit better. I know that the perfection doesn't come in this life. But little by little I'm working at it. Jesus taught through his example, through the love that he shows for us. I want to live so that i can show my love for him in how i treat others. It's when I do the little things like helping someone pick up there books, shovel there sidewalk, bless the sacrament, or talk with someone about the Book of Mormon and share my testimony, is when i feel like i am really living my faith. I'm excited for what tomorrow will bring because it's going to be a beautiful day.
