Hi I'm Jessie

I've grown up in Colorado. I love to laugh with my friends, and my passion is music. I'm a Mormon, and I love it! :)

About Me

I've lived in Colorado for as long as I can remember. I love the beautiful mountains, fresh air, and art scene around here. I'm a high school student, and I love music. I play the cello, ukulele, and I sing. I love listening to classical, alternative, and indie rock. When I'm not working on a new song, I spend my time reading and hanging out with my friends and amazing brothers! :)

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. While my parents are both active members and certainly encourage me, at the end of the day, the decision is mine. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ gives me a feeling of happiness and self-worth. In the teenage world where there's so much comparison of yourself to others, it often feels like you don't matter. Like, there are so many other people on this Earth, and so many of them seem better! What could you possibly need to be here for? The Church gives me a testimony of the Savior's eternal, endless love for me, and makes me understand the divine nature of each and every one of us. The church also promises me that I can be with my family forever! Our family of 5 certainly isn't perfect, (Does a perfect family even exist here?) through all our trials, we love each other and strengthen each other. With them by my side, I feel as though I can overcome anything, and I never want to lose that. While I certainly don't understand all the aspects of the gospel, something in my heart always tells me that it's right as I pray and study my scriptures. I know the church is true.

How I live my faith

Currently, my ward calling is the Young Women's chorister. I lead the opening hymns for the youth. Outside of the church building, I strive to keep the standards of the church and be an example to my friends.
