Hi I'm Hannah Small

I'm a student, a daughter, a wife, and a friend. And I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I'm a student at Brigham Young University-Idaho studying Video Production with a minor in Natural Resources. I recently got married to the best man in the world in the Idaho Falls, Idaho temple. I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since I was six years old. I am grateful for the standards that the church has given me that have helped me to live a better life.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it has given me standards for a strong foundation in a world that is always changing. The standards don't make me better than anyone, they just help me to be a better person in a world where a lot of people my age don't have a whole lot of respect for themselves or for those around them.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by incorporating the standards that I have been given by the leaders of the church into my everyday life. I don't drink or smoke, I don't cuss, I don't wear clothes that are revealing, and I respect and am kind to the people that I meet.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Hannah Small
It's as what Alma says in Alma 30:44. He says that "all things denote there is a God." Even the smallest things in nature to the stars and galaxies in the night sky. For me, I know that there is a God when I look up at the night sky. If I'm in a place where the sky is really clear and I can see tons of stars, I get this overwhelming feeling and I just know that there's no way that all of this was created by chance. How is it possible that our planet just happened to be in the right spot with the right conditions for life? Something, or someone, had to have done it on purpose so that we could survive on this planet. Show more Show less

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

Hannah Small
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is often referred to as "Mormons" or "Mormonism" because of our belief in The Book of Mormon. The term "Mormon" originally started as a nickname that was meant to be hurtful or degrading to the church members back in the 1800's, but it's stuck and that's how most people know us now. While today it is just used as a nickname, it is not our official name. The official name of the church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Show more Show less
