Hi I'm Suzan.

I'm a wife, mother, teacher, singer, nature-lover...and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Full-time wife, mother, business partner, pre-school music teacher, massage therapist who loves the simple life. Let me spend a day at the beach or on a hike and I am a happy girl. I love waking up to the sounds of my babies and still get giddy when my husband comes home from a long day at work. I marvel at my four-year old 's sensitivity and observations of this world. I appreciate my parents and siblings who helped to make me who I am, to my life-long church friends and leaders who have influenced me for good, to teachers who taught me passion for life and to a loving and perfect Heavenly Father who never gives up on me.

Why I am a Mormon

This topic is sacred to me. I take my religion and testimony very seriously. There are many religions in the world; many that teach truth and deserve utmost respect. I honor and show gratitude to those who truly seek God and His truth. We are all on a path to truth, if we choose to be. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I have tried and tested it. I have studied its doctrine, I have taught it, I have allowed it to become a way of life for me. I have personally asked to know if it is the will of God, if The Book of Mormon is true and if the Lord is pleased with me doing so. I have come to know, for myself and not by coercion or any other method, that it is true. Have I always felt and believed this way? No. I have struggled with my testimony in the past and have asked many questions. I still come back to the peace and witness(es) that Heavenly Father still gives me, over and over again. I am so grateful for His patience with me. My testimony is the most valuable 'possession' in this life for me. All other blessings are what they are because of it.

How I live my faith

I love serving in the church. I have done many things such as lead music, teach children, serve a mission in California, work with the young women/teens, and teach Sunday School in the Spanish language. Currently I play the organ for our general congregational meeting. We meet so that we can uplift others, teach each other and be there in good times and bad times. Our faith is a 'way of life' as is any other Christian faith. Daily prayer, scripture reading and service. We are far from perfect, but try to live as Jesus would. I fall short every day, but I know that God loves me. I pray for many more days in this life so that I can serve Him and my family, enjoy those things with which He has blessed me, and learn, learn, learn.
