Hi I'm Veniece

I love adventure. I'm a pilot, scuba diver, traveller, wake boarder, Scouter, wife, mother and grandmother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have a blended family. We are the "Eight is Enough" "Brady Bunch" and "Yours, Mine and Ours" all combined. We have eight children; seven daughters and one son. This has given us many adventures. I love being a grandma. I love to sing with my grandchildren, play with them and teach them new things. One of my greatest joys was teaching my blind granddaughter to water ski at age five. Most of my "Best Day Ever" experiences have been shared with my family. Usually they have a spiritual aspect to them, like attending the temple, the House of the Lord, with our only son before he left to serve a two year mission for our church. I love to travel the world and look forward to visiting the African continent next year. I love pictures, scrap booking, spin class, hand bells, singing, and being with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

As I have travelled the world, I have enjoyed learning of the diverse cultures and beliefs among men. As I have searched for truth, I have found The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holds truth in its most mature form. As I read the Book of Mormon side by side with the Bible, the Holy Spirit testifies to me that the writings in these two books of scripture are the word of God. I have seen miracles in my life and the lives of my loved ones. I have had my prayers answered. I have been blessed by a loving Father in Heaven to know with all my being that I am a daughter of God, and can return to live with Him after I leave this life. This was made possible through our Savior, Jesus Christ. I have an indescribable joy in knowing that through repentance and enduring to the end, I will live eternally with God and my family. Is there any greater adventure than that?

How I live my faith

The Savior taught, As I have loved you, love one another. I try to live my faith through service. I serve in the Boy Scouts of America as a volunteer Scouter. I have worked with the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturers. I loved trekking 60+ miles with an all girls Venture crew at BSA's Philmont Ranch in New Mexico. I have helped may Scouts earn their Eagle Scout Award and enjoy teaching the Citizenship merit badges. I am a Wood Badge Troop Guide teaching adult volunteers in Scouting. I am active in my community volunteering at the polls during elections, helping the scouts place flags out on national holidays, ringing in a community hand bells choir that performs at elementary schools and retirement centers. I am currently serving the missionaries of the Texas Houston South Mission as the housing coordinator in charge of acquiring the apartments and furniture for our missionaries. This is a full time position that I love. Sunday is the best day of the week. I attend church where I am fed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love to help in the nursery teaching the little ones about Jesus while their parents are attending adult Sunday School classes. I read from the scriptures each morning while eating breakfast. It starts my day with the spirit and a hope in Christ that sustains me through the challenges and adventures of modern life.
