Hi I'm Scott

I grew up in Corvallis, went off to college out of state, found a wife and am now a married father of two girls. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work in Human Resources and have for about 10 years. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading and playing games.

Why I am a Mormon

I am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ. I can't imagine not having direction in my life and not knowing where I came from, why I'm here on Earth and where I will go after I die. Being a Mormon gives me these answers and a clear direction in my life. I know that family is so important and am blessed to have a wonderful wife and happy girls. I know the peace I feel in life is because I live my religion seven days a week and not just on Sunday.

How I live my faith

I serve in our ward Bishopric and assist our Bishop in fellowshipping and serving members of our ward. Besides my Sunday responsiblities, as a member of the BIshopric I attend youth activities once a week and visit members of our ward to fellowship and get to know new families/individuals. As a member of the church, I'm also responsible for visiting other families regularly each month. I currently visit four families and look for ways to teach and serve each family. In turn, my family is visited regularly each month. My wife and I strive to teach our children the gospel. We read the scriptures and pray regularly each day with them. On Monday nights we have "Family Home Evening" where we have sing music, have a lesson and usually a fun treat. Our girls look forward to Monday nights.
