Hi I'm Jessica

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of 2 awesome kids and a wife to a wonderful husband. I have many different things I love to do. I love photography and learning new techniques with digital technology to improve upon my photos. I also play the piano and have for about 20 years now and I teach as well! I love to write stories when I get the time out of my day to do so and I love to read. I will be attending BYU-Idaho's Pathway Program to begin finishing my schooling and hopefully receive a degree in English or Business Management. I am a Girl Scout leader for my daughter's Brownie troop and love being a part of the amazing experience she gets from being a Girl Scout.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I remember at a young age loving to attend Primary and learn the lessons of the prophets of old and to sing the songs of the church. I was baptized as a member of the church when I was eight years old. It was a special time for me. It was the time when I first fully knew that I had a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I chose this when I was eight to be a member and I had a testimony then, but since then it has wavered here and there but then come back stronger than ever before through experiences I have had or through studying the scriptures and praying to my Heavenly Father. I know now without a doubt that my Heavenly Father loves me, knows me by name and that he sent his son, Jesus Christ to teach us and be an example to us through his life and ministry. I know also that Jesus Christ is the only Begotten son of the Father and that he atoned for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane and died on the cross of Calvary. I know that after three days that Christ was risen and did visit his friends and family and others on this Earth after death. I know that Jesus Christ did also come to the Americas and visit those people here as well and minister unto them. I know that the Book of Mormon as translated by the prophet, Joseph Smith. I know that Joseph Smith did see God and Christ and did restore the fullness of the gospel on the Earth today. I know that I can be an example and teach these things that I have come to know to my children and to be an example to them. I know that the temples of the church are here to bring families together forever.

How I live my faith

I have always been an active member of the church, and with that, I have participated in many things. I serve currently in my branch congregation as the Branch Organist (playing the organ for our sacrament meeting) and also as the Branch Primary Pianist (where I play the piano for the children in the Primary to help teach them songs of the Gospel and about Jesus Christ). I do love my service in the church and know that even though they sound like insignificant things I do in my local branch, music is a prayer unto our Heavenly Father and sometimes it is easier to sing your praises to show your love for him and for Jesus Christ.
