Hi I'm Joe

I'm from Arizona. I love table tennis! I love to sing! I love my Savior Jesus Christ! And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm twenty years old! I love being physically active. Basketball, tennis, ping pong, frisbee, etc. I love to make people laugh and I love to impersonate Jim Carrey! My passion is singing however. I've always loved music and singing but up until a few years ago, after I had injured myself playing competitive sports, singing is all I wanted to do! I hope to Major in music as a Voice Major and hopefully make a career out of recording and performing music. I love all kinds of music including, jazz, Alternative Rock, Classic Rock, Folk, Folk Rock, Symphonic, Orchestral, Blues, Bluegrass, Etc. I could go on and on about all the music I like. I'm currently serving as a Missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love the scriptures especially the Book of Mormon and the New Testament. Studying them both has helped me so much!

Why I am a Mormon

I've been raised in this Church since I was a child and was baptized at the age of eight. When I was a youth however I didn't really know how I felt. I struggled with things and with my faith. I loved to go to Church and be with my family but I didn't know what to believe. There were many times that I felt like I wasn't good enough to be God's child and that I didn't deserve Jesus Christ's atonement. Until one day when I was alone I prayed with all the strength I had, to know if God was really there, if Christ really felt the things I felt, and to know if by the power of the Atonement I could repent of my sins and be forgiven. I did not here God speak to me... I did not need Him to. I felt his love. I felt a calming peace in my heart and in my mind. I no longer felt anxious and weighted down by unbelief and doubt. I was lifted by God's love and I was filled with strength and courage. I know that this life isn't meant to be easy, but I know that with God and Jesus Christ, all things are possible. I know that through Christ's Atonement our guilt, fears, sins, and feelings of inadequacy can be taken away! If we follow Christ in faith and do our VERY BEST EVERYDAY, God will help us through our lives' and continue to pour out His love and blessings upon us. God is my Heavenly Father and through reading, studying, and pondering the Bible and the Book of Mormon I've come to know by the power of the Holy Ghost, that this Gospel has been restored by a prophet of God. His name being Joseph Smith. I know that we have a prophet today who is called of God and his name is Thomas Spencer Monson. He receives revelation for this Church and for all of God's children. This is why I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This is why I'm a Mormon! =]

How I live my faith

Growing up my parents always taught me to be kind and serve everyone. They always taught me to try my best at what I do and to never give up. I've taken that to heart. Serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the greatest way I could be living my life right now. I'm able to share with people everyday who Christ is, and what He did for all of us. Also being able to share that our Heavenly Father has a Prophet of God, Thomas S. Monson, to guide us is amazing! As I serve others and live the commandments God has given me, I am blessed in many ways. Being a missionary is a calling from God. He wants me to help his children know that He is there and that He listens to our prayers and that He loves us. To be able to give that message to people, especially people who have no hope or knowledge of that, is the greatest gift I could ever give. To know that I'm helping others come unto Christ by faith in Him and receiving His restored Gospel, brings me true joy! I do my best to be an example of my Savior and to BE MYSELF!
