Hi I'm Kathryn

I'm outgoing, perky, and love being around people. I love basketball, tennis, and any type of musical instrument! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Colorado where I learned to love being outdoors, in the sun, being active. I'm always up for a day at the lake or the beach watertubing, wakeboarding, swimming. My family is very close and we love doing things together in the mountains such as hiking, picnics, playing in the river, and just enjoying time together throwing the football, etc. I am studying at Brigham young University studying to be an elementary teacher. I love children. One of my favorite things in life is to hear the laugh of a child. I am also a member of the BYU Color Guard and I love being able to share my testimony and my devotion to the Savior by dance and talents. I am currently serving my Savior as a missionary in Brownsville, Texas.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me a member of the LDS church, but there comes a time in everyone's life where we need to decide for ourselves what is right for us. At a very young age, I gained a testimony that the things I was learning and doing is what God wants me to do. I knew this was His church at a young age, and because i had that knowledge, I was able to withstand temptation growing up. It never mattered to me what other people thought about me and my beliefs. All that mattered to me was what my Heavenly Father thought about what i was doing. Before I made a decision to do anything I always asked myself, "What would my Heavenly Father think of me if He saw me doing this?" From the answer, I would decide whether that is what was best for me. I know that the reason I am a member of Christ's Church is because God has answered my prayers and He never ceases reminding me abt His love for me. Every day, I am reminded of how much God loves me and how grateful He is that I am a member of His church. God and Jesus Christ want us to return to live with them so bad, that They lovingly provided us a clear way to return to Them again. They don't want us to be confused abt the way to return. They have given us a clear and direct path and if we follow it, we will be blessed and guided. I know this is true because I have chosen to follow this path. I have chosen to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Since I have started to do this, i have seen so many more blessings come from my Father in Heaven. I know that God hears and answers our prayers. He has a few ways of doing so, but I know that He Always answers. We just need to do our part. I am a member of this church because I know the Book of Mormon to be true. I have seen in times of trouble and difficulty where it has guided me in the ways of God and has given me comfort. God tells me what I need to know every time I read it. I know this is Christ's Church.

How I live my faith

Living the Gospel is something so unique becuase if we don't live the Gospel, then it doesn't mean much to us. Right now I am living my faith and my testimony by sharing the Gospel with as many people as I can. I am serving as a full time missionary in South Texas. We give 18-24 months solely to the purpose of sharing the gospel with others. I help other people to make a change in their life for the better and come closer to our Savior Jesus Christ. We do this by teaching and living the basic gospel principles such as faith, repentance, baptism, the holy ghost and enduring to the end. These basic principles are here to change our hearts and minds. More than anything, I have the chance to share this knowledge with so many people each day, that it makes me want to do more and more so i can grow closer. All in all, in order to live your faith, you just need to act and truely put your will with that of God's. How grateful I am to be able to live my faith in this specific way.
