Hi I'm Alacia

I'm a wife, interior design student, bookworm, and most importantly- I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a TwentySomething Utahn who married my best friend Alan on April 1st, 2011 in the Salt Lake City Utah Temple! Before meeting Al, I lived in Connecticut then California as a nanny for the 3 cutest little girls ever! Now I live with my husband in a cute little apartment in SLC and work for Lime Ricki Swim Wear! When I grow up I want to own my own business planning weddings for brides all over the world! Some of my favorite things include date nights with Alan, shopping with my mom and sister, playing games with my dad and brothers, and hanging out with Alan's family! I also love snapping pictures and reading!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but felt that I never had a real testimony building experience but that came on Saturday, October 6th, 2001. I had just finished reading the Book of Mormon in 60 days and had prayed to my Heavenly Father to know for myself if it was true. It turns out that this Saturday was also the first day of General Conference for the Church, and as I closed my prayer, the first speak began to talk. It was Boyd K. Packer and his ENTIRE talk was about the Book of Mormon and as he closed his talk he said "I love this Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. Study it and one can understand both the Old Testament and the New Testament in the Bible. I KNOW IT IS TRUE." When he said those last 5 words I began to cry and knew this was the answer to my prayer! I knew that my Heavenly Father heard me and blessed me with this answer that I needed. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and is taking care of me each day!

How I live my faith

After my husband and I got married we were called to teach Sunday School in our ward. Our lessons were based on the Prophets of the Church, starting with Joseph Smith. We taught 3 seventeen year old boys whom we love! It was so fun to learn about the prophets as we prepared to teach our boys each week and help them learn and grow in the Gospel. Right now Alan and I have a new calling that we love! We are Stake Assignment Coordinators which entails organizing our ward when such assignments as cleaning the Temple or working at the DI come around. I also live my faith as I read my scriptures (or try!) every day and attend the Temple whenever I can!
