Hi I'm Sydnee Sweet

I'm a golfer at Riverton High School, a song writer, and a friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a junior at Riverton High School. I live with my dad, and my little brother. I love the church but I also love being outdoors and with my friends. I love to wakeboard and golf. I like doing service for others and being with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

In May of 2004 when I was nine years old, my parents decided to get a divorce. A month later my younger brother Thomas died. It was a devastating time for me and my family. After my mom moved out, my dad started taking Tom's twin Nick, and I to church. I fell in love with primary and made my best friends there. I luckily started gaining my testimony right away. A few years passed and my dad stopped going to church. I would go alone, and get rides to and from the church building. I knew I wanted to be baptized. I wanted my dad to do it, but he smoked at the time and wasn't able to. I kept waiting for him, and when I was 13 years old, he finally quit long enough to baptize me. A few months later he baptized my brother who was then 8, then a few months later started smoking again. I still go without my dad to church, but I take my brother when I can. This experience has strengthened my testimony in so many ways. It has made it so important to me that I plan for eternity. I want to always be worthy of a temple recommend, so I can marry in the temple and be sealed to my own family for time and all eternity. I know that the family I have now will not be with me in the Celestial Kingdom, but I know that much faith may bring to pass a miracle of being sealed to them. I love the Lord with every fiber of my being and I couldn't imagine and earth life without Him.

How I live my faith

I have been in the presidencies of each class in Young Women's. Beehive secretary, Mia Maid president, and currently the Laurel first counselor. Each of these callings has helped my testimony grow and made me want to be a better examples for the girls in my ward, and the people I meet each and every day. I love serving the people in my ward. We are one big family.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

One of the easiest ways to increase your faith in the church is by simply attending the meetings on Sundays, and reading The Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
