Hi I'm Shawn I Phillips

I am a missionary, love the outdoors, video games, and swimming and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving as a missionary and teaching and sharing gospel of the church and the truth of it. I know it is true and I love it so much. I love to share it with others and help them to come to know it is true them selves. I have lived in Utah my whole life and was born a Mormon. I love teaching and helping others to learn. I am a fish, a swimmer and I absolutely love the water. Math is my favorite subject because I find it challenging and it works the mind. I like Sudoku puzzles for the same reason I like math. I am an Eagle Scout and really enjoy helping in the Boy Scouts of America. I love to work at Boy Scout camps during the summer. I have worked in Idaho and California at Boy Scout summer camps. I love the outdoors and being in the woods. I really like video games. I love fantasy movies and novels. I love to work on and with computers. I love to fix them and any problems they have.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS Church being the youngest of six. As I grew up I followed the examples of some of my older siblings and what the church taught. I thought the church was true growing up but it wasn't until High School that I truly felt it was true. In High School I took Seminary which is a class where we learn about the Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, the Doctrine & Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price. Seminary really helped me learn and grow in the gospel of Jesus Christ and I grew to feel that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was true. I also felt it was true when I had a friend ask what I believed about Jesus Christ and I was able to tell him easily and with no problem. It just all makes sense and feels good. I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true beyond a shadow of a doubt because I have shared it with others and I feel it every time. It is through study, learning and prayer that I came to truly know it is true.

How I live my faith

I have tried to live and be an example to help others. I am currently serving as a missionary for the church going out and teaching others about the church. I have learned through the Boy Scouts of America that it is our example that others learn the most about us. I help with others when they need any service like yard work or moving. As a missionary I spend a couple hours everyday studying from the scriptures like the Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon.
