Hi I'm Kimball

I am bodybuilder, I am a Health-Freak, I am a hopeful entrepreneur, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in the great state of Georgia but grew up in Tennessee to AMAZING parents! Growing up in Tennessee I learned to appreciate sports. From the time I was 7-15 I jumped from Basketball, to Tae Kwon Do, to Cross Country and Track, to Swimming. I was always a skinny kid, but my sophomore year in high school I got bit my the iron bug. I absolutely love going to the gym to build up my body and to crush strength goals that I've set for my self. It's the most empowering temporal thing that I can think of. I had the opportunity to serve a mission for my church in The Utah Ogden and Salt Lake City Missions. It was definitely two of the best years of my life. I learned so much, drew closer to my Heavenly Father, and witnessed a mighty change in many people. I am currently studying Public Relations at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I hope to one day own a firm and to work with Non-profit organizations throughout the globe. I continue to do the best I can to serve in the church and to build my relationship with my Heaveny Father. I've found that all things are possible with His help and I can't imagine a life without Him or this gospel! I'm proud to be a Mormon and to have the chance everyday to worship my God and King as well as to spread the message that there is a loving Father in Heaven who cares for all of His children.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into Jesus Christ's church and chose to be baptized a member of His church when I was 8 years old. However, I was not born with a testimony that His church is true. It took a lot of time actually. I would have to say the experience that solidified my testimony was Summer of 2006. We went up to Palmyra, New York to the place were Joseph Smith was raised. The most particular place we went was to the grove of trees where Joseph Smith was visited by our Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. As I walked through that grove I had the strongest feeling of peace and I knew at that moment that this was a sacred place and that Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ truly had been there! In addition, to this experience, I have had the opportunity to read the Book of Mormon cover to cover several times. I have read and prayed about it and every time I have read the book, it has given me a desire to want to be a better person and follow our Savior Jesus Christ. I know without a doubt that this is the Savior's church restored because the Holy Ghost has manifested it unto me through these experiences and numerous others.

How I live my faith

One thing that I really enjoy doing is reading the Book of Mormon and the Bible. These books have helped me overcome my hardest of trials and they have helped me truly find peace and joy all the time. For some reason it is addicting to read these books if y'all do not understand why y'all should read them and see what I am talking about! Another thing I love to do is to pray! When I pray it is a time where I can ask my Father in Heaven any question, I can thank Him for everything he has granted me with, and it allows me to grow much closer than ever before with Him! In addition, going to church really increases my faith! Every time I go to church I bring a journal and either have a question in mind, come to church with my problems, or just go to see what the Lord would have me learn that week. Every time I leave, I am filled with a greater faith in my Savior, more joy, and a desire to serve all of those amongst me.

What is the Book of Mormon?

To me the Book of Mormon is a gift from God! Not only has He blessed us with the Bible that gives us a witness and knowledge of Jesus Christ. But because He loves us so much He has give us another Book that confirms that witness and knowledge of Jesus Christ. It helps solidify my testimony that Jesus Christ really is the Savior of the world. Those who are reading this please explore the Book of Mormon. I can promise you if you want to come closer to Jesus Christ you will if you will read and pray about this Book! My testimony of Jesus Christ has grown so much from reading this book and my desire to follow Him has really grown! Show more Show less

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Tithing to me is very sacred thing. When I pay my tithing I know that it does not go to any person in the church meaning it does not go to our leaders. However, my tithing goes to build churches and temples all over the world so people who have not yet heard of Jesus Christ or want to know Him can have a chance to come to the church and learn of Him and grow closer to Him so they can have the joy that I have! Everything that I have came from my Father in Heaven. He does not need my money, but it as an act of love for Him and His children to pay it. Also when I have paid for my tithing the windows of heaven have literally been opened to me I have been blessed financially, temporally, and spiritually. It is difficult to not pay it because I need blessings and my brothers and sisters (Heavenly Father's children) need them too! Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Because we have been blessed to have the knowledge that we can live together forever with our families. We have so much joy in our life because we have the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We want to share it with everyone! We want others to have the same joy we have. We do not want to keep the blessings of Jesus Christ's gospel from a single human being, that would be selfish. After all we are all Heavenly Father's children we all want to be together and how can we if not everyone has this great blessing in their lives? Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

If you truly want to know if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true you must first believe that it could be true. Then you must study the Book of Mormon don't close your mind to it, believe that this book could be true. As you carefully study this book and open your heart to the feelings of the Holy Ghost (that feeling you when you know something is true it could be a feeling of peace, a chilling feeling, warm feeling, brings tears to your eyes) this will be your answer from your Father in Heaven that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true, that Joseph Smith was a prophet (and that we have a prophet on the earth today), and that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. Once again I tell you if you sincerely want to know if this is true your Father in Heaven will tell you as you exercise your faith and read, and pray about it. -see The Book of Mormon Introduction the last 2 paragraphs Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

First of all, why would there not be? If God led His children for thousands of years under the direction of one of his chosen servants, wouldn't you think He would do it today also? "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secrets unto his servants the prophets." Amos 3:7 I know that we have a prophet today to lead us and guide us. "And this is not all. Do ye not suppose that I know of these things myself? behold, I testify unto you that I do know that these things whereof I have spoken are true. And how do ye suppose that I know of their surety? Behold, I say unto you they are made known unto me by the Holy Spirit of God. Behold, I have fasted and prayed many days that I might know these things of myself. And now I do know of myself they are true; for the Lord God hath made them manifest unto me by his Holy Spirit; and this is the spirit of revelation which is in me." Alma 5:45-46 By sincerely praying and asking God if there is a prophet on the earth I was able to receive an answer from the Holy Ghost that there is one. If you want to know for yourself that there is a prophet pray and ask Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ if President Thomas S. Monson is a prophet called by God. I promise you that you will be able to receive an answer that He is. Show more Show less
