Hi I'm Jaime

I'm a wife. I'm a mother. I'm a convert. I love the gospel! I wrestle alligators for a living. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Okay okay, I don't really wrestle alligators for a living...unless you count my three children...and they have been known to attack fiercely with lighting quick speed ; ). Sorry, I try to be serious, but it's just against my nature :). I love to laugh, I'm a blogger, an early morning hater, music lover, movie goer, book reader, Starbucks gulper (hot chocolate of course), random dance party thrower kind of a girl. But most of all, I love life and I love my family more than anything! I married my high school sweetheart and he is my rock. I joined the church in 2007 at the age of 24 and it was the best decision I have ever made.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because the church is true..simple enough right?? However, it took me 9 long years to figure that out! I first became "aware" of the church when I was 16 years old. I started dating my now husband then and he was raised in the church. He wasn't active when we began dating but the rest of his family was. I became very close with all of his family and was introduced to the gospel through them. I was raised by my dad, my grandma, aunts, friends parents, coaches, teachers. My mom wasn't around much then and my dad was in and out of jail. At times, it was rough, but I remember praying when I was a little girl that someday I would grow up and have a family of my own that would always stay and be together. I was always comforted when I prayed. As I watched my in-laws live the gospel and learned of eternal truths, my testimony began to grow. I spent many years reading and researching about the church before I decided to join. My only regret is that I took so long to become a member! So I'll keep it simple for you...the church is true!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best example that I can be. I strive my best to say my prayers, study my scriptures, give service, be friendly to those around me, and attend the temple. I have found as long as I keep to doing those things, happiness will be found in life amidst the chaos. People ask me all the time if I notice a difference in my life when living the gospel versus how I was living before I had the gospel. I wasn't living a bad life before by any means, but there is a big difference. There is so much more hope and joy!
