Hi I'm Mark

I'm a author, professional speaker and teacher, husband, father, grandfather, and I'm proud to be a Mormon.

About Me

It's great to be the father of 5 and grandfather of 4. My wife and I have been married for 34 years. I grew up a Methodist in a Mt. Vernon, Ohio and landed in North Carolina at Elon College. After college, I worked in insurance for 2 years, retail for 20, then real estate for the last 13. In 2011, my co-author and friend Don Greeson and I released our first book "Finding My Why, Ernie's Journey......A Tale for Seekers". In 2012 Amazon published our second book, "Finding My Why, Glori's Story", and we have a third book in the works for late 2012 or an early 2013 release. I love serving people as I travel and speak, but most of all, I love serving my family. My "Why" is to leave this mortal life knowing that I made a small difference. That the world is a little better because I helped others improve their lives while I was here. That I shared a testimony of a living God and of his Son Jesus Christ. That because of our Savior, we can all return to live with them and be blessed to have our families with us. What would eternal life be without the ones we love in this mortal existence?

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know in my heart that this is the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have read the Bible and Book of Mormon many times and understand the Book of Mormon to be a second witness of a living God and of His Son. My wife was born to member parents, but I am first generation Mormon and was baptized into the Church while in college. I now serve in my local ward because I want others to find the same joy and peace that I have found. I have encouraged people that I love and care about to pray about finding the truth for themselves. A testimony is a personal thing. I want them to read, study, ponder, and pray. I welcome and encourage you to do the same.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life in such a way that people know that I am a Christlike man. That I love my wife and am true to her. That I love and cherish my children. That I want my grandchildren to know that I care about them individually and that I am interested in their success. That I care about this country and the world. That I want all people to find joy in their lives. That people will discover where they came from, why they are here, and where they are going. That when a loved one departs from this Earth that they will see them again and that it is Heavenly Fathers plan that we should be together throughout the eternities. That we are here, in this place at this time, to find joy, happiness, and truth. And.........................we can
