Hi I'm Rebecca

I serve in the Detroit Michigan Mission, I love to play the violin, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am currently serving a mission in Detroit, Michigan. I love my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ so I want to become more like him. I want to be able to help others to come unto Christ and to deepen their relationship with our Heavenly Father and Savior. I do have hobbies like playing the violin or drawing, but I am currently giveing my time to the Lord to help others and not focus on myself.

Why I am a Mormon

True, I was born into the gospel so that contributes to why I am L.D.S., but as I grew older, I found that I depended more and more on the Lord to help me get through the huge trials of my life. The gospel helped me turn to compassion instead of anger when my life became difficult. I am a "Mormon" because I can't imagine my life without this gospel. It gives me such a wonderful sense of peace and love that I can't live without.

How I live my faith

I choose to live my faith by more than just going to church on Sundays. For me, living my faith means that I strive to act as good as I do on Sunday throughout the week. I know that I am not perfect, (The church isn't for perfect people anyways) but I try harder to have the same love and kindness in myself without having to be reminded by sitting in the chapel. I also try to get involved in the various activities available in my ward. A lot of them are really fun!

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

No, many members of the LDS church in my family have different political beliefs and support different parties. The Church doesn't endorse any political parties, but they do encourage members to study the candidates and to vote. Show more Show less
