Hi I'm Josh

I am a husband and a father of three boys. I am a CPA (I don't do taxes). I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of three strong boys that bring me the most joy (and the most frustration) in my life. I am a CPA providing financial statement audit services for a public accounting firm. I love to play basketball and mountain bike. I recently competed in a triathlon sprint event, and that experience may have changed my life forever and meant the end of the world as I knew it!

Why I am a Mormon

As I continue to study the scriptures and the teachings of modern-day prophets, I learn and understand more and more of the great plan of happiness that our Father in Heaven has prepared for us. As I raise my own children, I begin to understand how much our Heavenly Father loves us, but I also understand the sadness and dissappointment that comes from seeing my children make wrong choices. My love for them does not waiver despite the bad things they do, and I know that our Heavenly Father's love for us is even more perfect and eternal. He wants us to return to live with Him forever, just as I want to be with my family forever. I know that is only possible through the ordinances of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and through the authority of His priesthood. I also know that the true priesthood authority is found only in the one true church of Jesus Christ. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching my children through my actions. I try to avoid asking them to do things that I am not willing to do myself. Kids act as a great "mirror" of sorts. They do not hesitate to let you know when you do or don't do something that you ask of them. They have been at the root of many of the changes I have made in my attitudes and actions.
