Hi I'm Chalene

Hi I'm Chalene! I belong to a family of 10, I love to play Volleyball, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! My name is Chalene and I'm a Mormon! I am currently 19 years old and loving life. I belong to the best family in the world which consists of my mom and dad along with my 5 brothers and 2 sisters. I grew up playing almost every sport possible but as I got older I realized that Volleyball was my passion. I played all during Jr. High and High School and even went on to play community college. Eventually I decided I needed a change and attended a semester up at BYU-Idaho. I loved every second of it! I just recently received my call to serve in South America and I can't wait to serve the Lord!

Why I am a Mormon

I have always had the Gospel in my life because I grew up a member of the Church. The first thing I gained my testimony on was the Prophet Joseph Smith. I was watching Joseph Smith: Prophet of the Restoration, and I suddenly knew without a doubt that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. He truly was a prophet of God and he restored the true church back to the earth. I know that the Book of Mormon which he translated is the truest book in the world and so many answers can be found there. I know this church is true. I know we now have a modern prophet Thomas S. Monson who is the Lord's mouth piece today. He leads and guides the church. I can live each and every day with peace and happiness because I know Jesus Christ died for me and atoned for my sins. He rose again and lives even today. He is my Savior and Redeemer.

How I live my faith

In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, there are many opportunities to serve others. One way I have served is through music. I recently had the wonderful opportunity to be able to be the ward Organist for our meeting. I would play the hymns on the Organ that we sing and try to bring the Spirit as I played softly before and after the meeting. I have enjoyed sharing my talents and expressing my testimony of the gospel through music!
