Hi I'm Bonnie Gruber

I am a horse trainer and dressage riding instructor. I am a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have loved horses all my life and have been riding for over 40 years. I love dressage and enjoy teaching others to love it too. Teaching has been a big part of my life whether it is in dressage or church callings. A few years ago I became a grandmother and my grandchildren are a wonderful part of my life. I live in the country on a small horse farm with my very loving and supportive husband. We spend much of our spare time doing chores and teaching our grandsons to love the outdoors. I am still active showing horses and my husband is the world's best groom and companion at the shows.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because it spoke to my heart. I joined the church at a very difficult time in my life and it literally saved me. I believe that alcoholism would have been a large part of my life otherwise. As a child I went to church every Sunday and was taught that Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost were all one. I was always very confused about that. It just didn't make sense to me. When I heard that God, the Father and Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost were separate beings it truly spoke to my heart. I knew that when Joseph Smith saw the God, the Father and Jesus Christ in the grove of trees in Palmyra, NY that it was true. I am grateful to this church for all that it has given me. I enjoy the callings I have had and love my calling as Seminary teacher for the high school youths.

How I live my faith

I just spent the last 4 1/2 years teaching adult Sunday School at church and loved it. I was released from that calling and called to teach the high school students in Seminary. It is difficult but very rewarding. I have found that I have learned as much or more than my students. My husband and I go to the temple often and enjoy the blessings of being full tithe payers. Our lives are full from the blessings of family and church life.
