Hi I'm Parker Jay Robbins

I'm a college student. I play guitar. I love the LA Clippers. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the son of two wonderful parents and a brother to five admirable siblings. Because of good fortune, my two oldest brothers are now married, which also makes me a brother-in-law and an uncle. I recently returned from serving a two year mission in Juarez, Chihuahua. During my time there I fell in love with spicy Mexican food and even picked up a little Spanish. I love the Mexican culture because it taught me to be humble and compassionate to everyone around me. I am currently a college student studying business management. I love to sing and play the guitar. Music is such a wonderful gift in my life and I feel as if God has given me certain musical abilities in order to bless the lives of others. I also enjoy reading, playing sports, eating cheese, and longboarding.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the Church and was taught the gospel principles by my parents. The experiences that I had, both at home and at church, played a significant role in my life as a child and allowed for me to feel the Spirit of the Lord at a very young age. I continue to follow Christ's gospel because it allows me to remain close to God, it gives me a sense of purpose and direction in my life, and because it is ultimately what makes me the most happy. I know that God lives and loves us. I know that He is in the very details of our lives and that He has created a special plan for us to return to His presence. I know that Jesus is the Christ. He is the Savior and Redeemer of the world! Through His sacrifice, we can be made clean and receive the strength necessary to endure the daily trials that life presents. In these last days, God called a prophet to restore Christ's church and gospel once more upon the earth. The Book of Mormon is evidence of this wonderful truth! I know that it is truly the word of God.

How I live my faith

I strive each and every day to live after the manner of happiness. What this means is living in a way that is pleasing unto God. This is done by following the example of Jesus Christ and keeping His commandments. I am a member of a young single adult ward, where I have the opportunity to renew my faith each week and grow closer to God. I also am part of a small leadership group that watches over the rest of the members in our ward. Each month I have the privilege of visiting with a number of them and sharing important gospel topics to strengthen their faith. I also help prepare, pass and bless the sacrament, or the bread and water, that we partake of every week. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints makes me happy. Christ is ultimately the center of my life and I know that by having faith in Him and following in His footsteps, He can do much more with my life than I could ever do by myself.
