Hi I'm Katie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a nursing student working on my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. I have worked in various units in the hospital as a Nurses Assistant and have enjoy each one. I love helping people and I am so happy to have found a career where I can do that. For fun I enjoy eating out at restaurants, running on the beach, hiking, and going to concerts. Music is a big part of my life, I have some sort of music on most of the time during the day. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends, anything we do we are having fun. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Momon because I love God and I believe that this is His true church and that Jesus is the Christ. The more I learn I gain a greater understanding of who I truly am, where I came from, and what is in store after this life. Most of all I feel God's love for me and greater peace than anything else has been able to offer me. I know that God loves all His children and He wants us to return to live with Him. I know you can know this to.

How I live my faith

I am very active in my church. I recently had the calling of supervising visiting teaching in our women's group 'Relief Society'. Visiting Teaching is a program in the church where the women are put with a partner and visit fellow relief society members. It is a wonderful opportunity for us to minister to each other through teaching, sharing about our lives, and offering service to each other. I really enjoyed the calling because I loved getting to know all the women better and seeing all the women show Christ-like love to one another. Also I try to give as often as I can. There is an elderly widow friend I visit once a week. I give her rides to do her errands and we get lunch together and talk. I can tell she really looks forward to our visits and I do to. I have seen first hand how serving someone really does increase our love for them. What inspires me most to give service is the love of Christ, I feel it whenever I help those around me.
