Hi I'm Sandi Segalla

I am a native Californian, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 57 years old married to my husband Jerry (of 40 years) and together we raised 5 children. Currently, I am a grandmother to 15 children, and a mother to 4 living children . My greatest joys have been being a stay at home mom. I ran a cosmetic company for 20 years out of my home. I have lectured extensively about color, makeup, wardrobe. I have studied reflexology and natural healing. I run a security company where we specialize in residential and commercial security systems and CCTV. I love to read, play with my grandchildren and 4x4 with my husband. I love to go to church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was very blessed to have a grandmother who took me to church when I was a child. Going to church I had 3 basic questions that couldn't be answered to my satisfaction. 1) Why, if marriage is so much work, would our Father in Heaven not allow us to be married in heaven? 2) How could The Father , The Son and The Holy Ghost all be one person yet separate? And 3) If God loves us as much as his sons and daughters that lived before why aren't we blessed with a prophet, and apostles and the priesthood and the temple and all the wonderful things they had in the biblical days? When the Mormon missionaries came to our door in 1972 they answered all those questions and many more. My husband and I took the lessons and November 3rd 1972 we joined the church (10 months after we married). It was without a doubt the best decision of our lives. This is not a "Sunday" religion it is a lifestyle. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church on the face of the earth today. I have read The Book of Mormon many times and I testify to you that it is the true word of God(along with the King James version of the bible) and that Joseph Smith did indeed translate the ancient records, and that Joseph is a True Prophet of God. I also testify that we have a prophet today President Thomas S Monson who leads and guides us and that we have apostles, the priesthood and the temple where we can go to learn to become more like our Heavenly Father. I leave you my testimony in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

How I live my faith

I have been blessed to serve in the church in many capacities. I have worked with the children and also in the womens organization. But most of my membership in the church I have taught the youth in one capacity or other. I have always had a special place in my heart for the teenagers. I love their zest for life and their ability to see a bright future. As long as these great young people will be at the helm of our future I know it will be in good hands. I am so blessed to serve them and I learn so much more from them than they learn from me. My husband and I were also involved in girls camp for many years. I also love visiting teaching. I visit 3 women each month to check on them and see how they are and if they are in any kind of need whether it be physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. I take them a spiritual message approved by the Presidency of the church. These women have become very dear to me and I treasure this sacred responsibility. I also get involved in the community where possible. I want most of all for people to know we (The Mormons) are Christians, we truly are striving to be disciples of Christ. We are not perfect but we have all the tools to become Christlike.
