Hi I'm Dallin Darrington

I grew up on a Dairy Farm in idaho and love to Dirt bike, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a Dairy Farm in Declo, Idaho. I love the farming life style, of drive tractors, growing crops, working hard, and seeing the fruits of your labor. My hobbies are Riding Dirt bikes and Four Wheelers. But most of all, i love enjoy spending time with my family. After High School, I completed a semester of college at BYU Idaho, where i studied Farm Managment. I am now on a mission in Knoxville,Tennessee. After my mission, i plan to work on our Dairy Farm and then some day start my own Farm.

Why I am a Mormon

Well my parents were mormon, so i was raised up in the church. I always remember going to church and learning about Jesus Christ. As i was young i always leaned on my parents testimony of knowing that the church is true. But as a grew i started to get my own testimony of the church. I had read from the Book of Mormon growing up and prayed a couple times to know if it was true. But every time i prayed, i didn't fell like i got a answer. But i had always believed that the Book of Mormon was true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that the church was true. But when i turned 19 i decided to go on a mission. As i was at the Missionary Training Center, i knew that i needed to really know that what i believed was really true, so i could really tell people that it was true. I went to the Temple and, their i really prayed hard to know for sure that the church was true and everything that is part of it is true. Well guess what, I got a strong spiritual impression that let me know that everything is true. Including Joseph Smith, The Book of Mormon, and that we have a living prophet, President Thomas S. Monson. IT was cool and from that time on and through my mission experience i have depend my testimony and it has got stronger and stronger. I am so grateful for the Gospel and for Jesus Christ and his Atonement. The Gospel has really changed my life and i am so grateful for it.

How I live my faith

Well i try to do my best each and everyday and strive to be nice to one another. I go to church each sunday and read the scriptures daily and pray to my Heavenly Father many times each day. Each day as a missionary, i get to go out and talk to people about the Gospel and about Jesus Christ. I strive to follow Jesus Christ's example, by trying to make good decisions. As is study about Christ and learn of him, it strengthens my faith in him. I enjoy serving other people, wether it be giving service to them or trying to lift them up. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live and i strive to share the gospel with others.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Dallin Darrington
Tithing is 10 percent of our increase, it is how members are blessed and how the church operates. Tithing pays for constructing churches throughout the world and the many beautiful temples that we have today. It also pays for materials that we use in classes and in organizations. That way we can all read and study so that, members can learn more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is also used for education and for operating funds for the church. Tithing is a wonderful things and truly funds the church. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Dallin Darrington
Families are so important, becuase families are central to Gods plan. In families, we learn and grow from each other. We learn right from wrong, and are taught basic principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We can grow to love each other and serve one another. True happiness is only found in the family, and has Jesus Christ in the center. Families can not only be together just in this life, but for time and all eternity if they are sealed in the Temple. Families are wonderful and should be part of our lives. I know as we spend more time with our families, we will have more love for each other. Because we are all God's Children, we are all brothers and sisters. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Dallin Darrington
Yes, I believe that we have a living Prophet on the earth to day that leads and guides us. His name is Thomas S. Monson, he is a seer and revalator. When we listen to him speak, it is if Jesus Christ was speaking himself. He will never lead us astray and will always lead us in righteousness. Show more Show less
