Hi I'm Elizabeth

I grew up on a 10 acre ranch in San Diego. I'm a mother and an artist. My grandparents were converts to the church.

About Me

I have always loved drawing. When I was a little girl I drew paper doll princesses, then I drew many mermaid paper dolls. I grew up on a ranch in California. We rode horses and made tree forts all day long. I have a deep love for nature. I am in awe of the spectacular beauty of this world -( Especially the mountains ...I love the mountains...). I have a very creative family. My dad began his career as a toy designer, and my mother is a music teacher. My love of art continued to include a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration. I enjoy doing narrative oil paintings and drawing. I specialize in portraiture and figure painting -(in natural, historical, or fantasy settings). I met my wonderful husband in college. We were both buying art supplies....and the rest is history... Parenthood has been an adventure for us. Our first baby was a stillborn, then my second son was born at 25 weeks,( 15 weeks prematurely).....Now we have three sons. It's a little crazy being the mother of three boys. I'm a full time mother, but I try to squeeze in my art. Sometimes my boys provide that opportunity for me by asking me to draw for them. I really enjoy: reading, baking from scratch, and excercising. I had a conversation with one of my dear friends after she had her first baby and something she said has stayed with me. She said," I didn't know that being a mother was so amazing!" In my opinion motherhood is the most amazing experience of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

When both my paternal and maternal grandmothers were young mothers, they both were seeking for more in their lives. They were introduced to the gospel, and brought their families into the church. My generation was the first to be born into the Mormon church. I love the Book of Mormon, I read it for the first time at a very young age. I didn't understand everything, but I did feel peace when I read it. I knew it was of God. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet. I know that the Lord answers our prayers. I know that the commandments are given to bring us happiness and direction. I want my family to have the same blessings of hope in the gospel of Jesus Christ, and his atonement. I want my sons to come to know their Father in Heaven, and Savior as well. I know that all of my blessings have come from a loving Heavenly Father, and my beloved Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have served in my church by teaching young women and children's classes. I also have produced art to display for church activities.
