Hi I'm Bevin Johnson

I grew up in a small Utah town and loved it. I am a country boy and that is all I ever wanted to be. I'm country and a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in a small town and have lived most of my life in a small town. I spent most of my youth out in the hills riding horses, hunting, fishing, and looking at beautiful scenery. My parents loved us and took us kids out. I spent so many hours following my Dad around the hills and sitting with him fishing. It seemed like it was never a bother to take us along. Although we always went to church I believe I learned the Gospel out with my parents. My parents were always so giving and I know they might have been taken advantage of sometimes but that didn't matter to them. I've grown up with a love for animals. I always want to have animals around. I talk to them even though they never answer back. I would certainly be surprised if one did. Ive spent my life working out doors in construction. I have built four houses for out family and I enjoyed it a lot. My dad I worked many years in the masonry business with my Dad. He was a perfectionist. He taught me to take pride in my work and always stand back and look at it to see if it was good. I think we should all stand back an look at everything we do to see if it is good.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that my Heavenly Father loves Me. I know He sent his Son to do for me what I couldn't do for myself. Being in the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for my whole life I have always gone but sometime I had to find out for myself. I couldn't believe it because my parents told me, I had to find out for myself. As the years go by this process never changes. We always have to be gaining a testimony of more and more. I believe through prayer and studying the words of the prophets the Holy Ghost will whisper in our ear that it is true. As I have different experiences in my life different things happen that have never happened before and I find myself needing more answers. I believe we need ongoing revelation from Prophets as we face new times. When we lost our daughter in an accident I needed Help From on high. It Came! I believe my Father in Heaven knows me and loves me. I believe He sent His sone to atone for me. I believe that families can be forever, and that is what I want.

How I live my faith

I learned service from my parents. My father used up two trucks hauling scouts from one place to another. My mother served everyplace there was a place to serve. I suppose she gave a loaf of bread to every person that moved into our town for forty years. I believe that if we don't serve our fellow man we are not worth much. I don't want to say that I do things it is just because my parents did it. I had to find out for myself that the church was true and i had to decide that I wanted to be a part of it. I have had many chances to serve in all areas but most of the time has been spent with young men. I suppose I have have had a chance to serve in every scouting position that there is. I have spent many many nights sleeping out in a sleeping bag. I learned to love it and I still do it. To me there is nothing better than looking up at a star filled heaven. Our next big adventure is heading off on a mission. We are getting ready to go to Cusco Peru for 18 months. As a young man I spent two year mission in Bolivia. Cusco is near there and I am excited to get back there. I will only have one companion this time and I am excited about being with here doing the Lords work.
