Hi I'm Shanna

I am a perfectionist. Smiling is my favorite. I'm proud to be a Mormon.

About Me

The first thing you must know about me, is that I struggle speaking about myself. I thrive off of the experiences of those around me and I am always happy to listen. I love people and I embrace each person's unique qualities. The love and support that my sweet family shows me means the world. I love them to the moon and back. As for myself, I enjoy all things natural. I believe that nothing beautiful asks for attention. It may sound cliche, but I absolutely adore sitting and observing things that make up our beautiful world. Watching the twinkling stars at night, hearing the crash of waves against the shore, feeling the warm embrace of the sunshine and pondering our existence on this Earth make me feel whole. I owe everything I have to my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ. My membership and my testimony of the truth of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is my most prized possession.

Why I am a Mormon

I know with a surety that I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, that was restored on the earth by Christ himself. I know that I am a daughter of God and that he loves me. I know that if I can live by His example, I can bring others unto Christ. I know that families are ordained of God and that they are necessary to continue the Plan of Happiness. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God as long as it is translated correctly. I know that our Prophet Thomas S. Monson leads us with divine authority from God. I know that Christ lives and died so that we can live with him and Heavenly Father again. I know that I can be forgiven if I repent of my sins. I know that the General Authorities speak the words of God. I love the gospel with my whole heart and am grateful for the blessings that I have gained because of it. There are many reasons that I am a Mormon, but the one that gives me the most joy is the fact that through the ordinances of the holy temple, our families can be sealed together forever. God loves us. He is aware of our needs. If we will come unto Him, the greatest joy in life can be ours!

How I live my faith

One way that I am living my faith is by serving as a full-time missionary. I have been called to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Philippines Cebu East mission. The love I have already for the people I will serve is overwhelming and I know that it can only grow. I am grateful and excited for this opportunity to serve the people in the Philippines Cebu East mission while helping them and inviting them to come unto Christ and accept the fullness of the gospel. I know that I will never regret my decision to serve a full-time mission. I have humbly accepted the call to represent Jesus Christ as a missionary for His church. Besides full-time service, it is important to live our faith by doing small and simple things everyday. Following the counsel of our living prophet, studying the scriptures everyday, attending my church meetings, attending the temple and keeping a prayer in my heart are actions that can bring myself and each of us closer to our Savior. These may seem like daunting tasks as we are progressing through this life, but it is important to keep an eternal perspective. Keep moving forward! Continue with faith in every footstep and all will work out in the end. Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ love us and only want us to succeed. We can do all things through the strength of the Lord.
